Once arrived to Hamad International Airport, please follow the transfer sign, cross the security checks to proceed to the transfer/ transit areas of the airport. You will notice a yellow bear in the middle of the terminal, look behind the bear and you will see the C,D,E signs on the top of the bridge, closer to those gate signs, you will see desks for flight upgrades in the right corner and beside that elevators. Please take the elevator to 3rd floor and you will be at Oryx Airport Hotel.
No, if you clear immigration, you will be out of the terminal which means that you should check-in again and pass through immigration at departures to be able to proceed to the transfer/ transit areas of the airport. Please note that in this case you need the boarding pass for your onward flight to clear immigration.
If you are a citizen of a country that does not require a pre-approved visa to enter the country, you can go ahead, clear immigration and exit the Airport. We however advice our valued guests to please reconfirm this information with their respective Airlines to ensure guidance is received regarding the issuance of their boarding pass for their onward flight; this depends on the airline and the times they allow passengers to check-in. Once a passenger checks-in and gets their boarding pass, they can then proceed to clear immigration and go to the hotel.
Your checked-in luggage is registered to your final destination therefore, if your final destination is not Qatar, you won’t be able to retrieve your checked baggage and you won’t have access to it while on transit. If your final destination is Qatar, you should not be staying in the transit and you should proceed to arrivals to claim your luggage however, please note that access to the hotel is only possible for passengers transiting through Hamad International Airport and not for those arriving to Doha.
